Texter alternative for Windows
Keep the shortcuts. Add the complete radiology workflow.
Import compatible Texter replacements into RadPhrases, then work with curated radiology phrases, a full report catalog, built-in calculators, personal report templates, and dependable local Windows expansion.
Texter is a lightweight general Windows replacement utility. RadPhrases keeps the abbreviation habit but surrounds it with the clinical content and reporting tools radiologists use.
Generic text expansion is only the starting point.
Texter can expand text across many kinds of work. RadPhrases is built around the radiologist's reporting loop: recall the right phrase, structure a complete report, calculate a standardized category, and keep moving without leaving the workstation.
Curated radiology shortcuts
Use an optional, moderated baseline library and keep your own phrases beside it—organized for reporting instead of starting from a blank generic snippet list.
Full report catalog
Find complete reports by modality and procedure, switch between variants, save favorites, and copy report-ready structures.
Radiology calculators
Work through O-RADS, TI-RADS, PI-RADS, and other structured systems with guidance and report-ready output.
Personal, local reporting workflow
Create shortcuts and report templates, use favorites and optional account sync, then expand locally in Windows with Enter.
What the one-click Texter import handles
RadPhrases checks known Texter install, Active, and export-folder layouts. You can see and edit the detected path before importing, and the source files stay local.
Imported
- Static replacement text files
- Enter, Tab, and Space bank lists from standard or exported folders
- Plain and encoded Texter replacement filenames
Safely skipped
- Clipboard, date, time, paste, script, and other Texter macros
- Oversized or unreadable replacement files
- Invalid or duplicate shortcuts already used in RadPhrases
Imported Texter shortcuts use RadPhrases' Enter trigger. Tab or Space activation is reported as an adjustment, and unsupported punctuation is removed from shortcut names.
Texter vs. RadPhrases
Both preserve the quick abbreviation-to-phrase habit. Only RadPhrases is designed as a radiology reporting workspace.
