Generic text expansion is only the starting point.

TextExpander can expand text across many kinds of work. RadPhrases is built around the radiologist's reporting loop: recall the right phrase, structure a complete report, calculate a standardized category, and keep moving without leaving the workstation.

Curated radiology shortcuts

Use an optional, moderated baseline library and keep your own phrases beside it—organized for reporting instead of starting from a blank generic snippet list.

Full report catalog

Find complete reports by modality and procedure, switch between variants, save favorites, and copy report-ready structures.

Radiology calculators

Work through O-RADS, TI-RADS, PI-RADS, and other structured systems with guidance and report-ready output.

Personal, local reporting workflow

Create shortcuts and report templates, use favorites and optional account sync, then expand locally in Windows with Enter.

What the TextExpander CSV import handles

RadPhrases can detect that TextExpander is installed on Windows. Because TextExpander syncs its library through an account, you first export an editable snippet group as CSV, then select that file in the Migration Center. Your export stays on your computer.

Imported

  • CSV rows with abbreviation and snippet columns
  • Quoted text containing commas or multiple lines
  • One CSV file or a folder containing several group exports

Safely skipped

  • Fill-ins, clipboard tokens, dates, nested snippets, keys, and other macros
  • Rich text, images, scripts, and behavior that is not a static phrase
  • Invalid or duplicate shortcuts already used in RadPhrases

TextExpander abbreviations may use punctuation prefixes. RadPhrases removes unsupported punctuation from shortcut names and imports compatible snippets with its consistent Enter trigger.

TextExpander vs. RadPhrases

TextExpander is the broader shared snippet platform. RadPhrases is the deeper radiology product.

Choose RadPhrases when

  • Your daily text expansion happens in Windows radiology reporting.
  • You want curated phrases, complete reports, and radiology calculators beside personal content.
  • You prefer a focused local importer and a consistent Enter trigger.

TextExpander may still fit better when

  • You need its broader cross-platform or team-sharing workflow.
  • Your snippets depend on fill-ins, clipboard content, dates, nested snippets, or rich content.
  • You use text expansion across many professions rather than primarily for radiology.

Keep the snippets. Gain the radiology workspace.
